The old iPhone was VERY slippery. I would have never used it without a case. The new 3G, however, doesn’t have that issue. I don’t use a case with my new iPhone and have never come close to it slipping from my hand.

I use my case on my “old” iPhone constantly and it is basically in perfect condition. Conversely, my sister’s iPhone is falling apart from so many drops, and my brother’s iPhone won’t turn on anymore.
