Layered Tech

Through out my website I have mentioned Layered Tech. I also have a few of their ads through out their website. I’m a member of their referral program and I earn a little money of any sign-ups generated from my website. The question is why have I picked to do Layered Tech’s referral program instead of the hundreds of other programs like Google AdSense, Amazon, Etc?

I use Layared Tech every day and they have been the best server host I’ve ever used, period. This very blog is hosted on a Layered Tech server. I thought if I was going to use a referral program, I would want to use a program where I use and believe the product. I’ve used just about every type of services at Layered Tech, from dedicated servers to their GridLayer cloud solution.  I can honestly say I’ve been very, very impressed with their service and support.

Why I highly recommend Layered Tech:

• High Quality Servers at a Great Price – I haven’t found a better price with the same great quality. Layered Tech is for those who are serious about their hosted content. If you are serious about your companies website, email, and e-Commerce, go with Layered Tech.
• No Contracts Involved – I’ve been tied down to a terrible service with a “contract” that would cost more to quit than pay the remainder of the fees. Layered Tech doesn’t have contracts. You can quick your service when ever you wish. They only ask that you contact them 14 days before your next billing cycle. This makes provisioning and decommissioning servers easy and pain-free.
• A Real, Reliable Grid/Cloud Solution – There are other cloud solutions out there, but the GridLayer at Layered Tech is the “cloud” without the mystery. Using 3Tera software, you have a GUI interface as well as API access. Each grid comes with pre-built templates so you can “drag, drop, and deploy” extremely fast.  You have physical servers allotted to your “grid” that you then create virtual instances about it.  There are video tutorials and documentation to help you every step of the way.
• Great In-house Support – Layered Tech doesn’t “out-source” their help, but rather puts the very best in-house experience at your service. They have very quick response times and are willing to help you out. I’ve been very pleasantly surprised by their great staff.
• A Growing Leader – I’ve had a server pass through three different companies due to buyouts until the third company went bankrupt and my server just went offline. With Layered Tech, they are growing bigger and bigger, with their service only getting better and better. You don’t have to worry about this company “disappearing” or being “bought out.” They are industry leaders who are the company to be with.
• Great People – I’ve had the opportunity to talk and meet with many of the Layered Tech staff, including attending their LT Pact, and I truly enjoy working with them. I’ve met their CEO, COO, CMO, CTO, CIO, and the list goes on. They are some of the most experienced people in running a server hosting company. But most important they are great people with a desire to make my life as easy as possible.

But who else is using Layered Tech? One large website I know of is WordPress.com. WordPress.com is one of the biggest blog hosting websites and uses Layered Tech as one of their Data Centers. During LT Pact I got the impression that Layered Tech was considered their primary data center, having LT deploy extra servers for blogs that were expecting to have exponential traffic for a short period of time. One of my projects that uses dozens of servers, CEVO, uses LT for their entire Infrastructure, and we have been extremely impressed.
