Why Google Chrome is Good for FireFox

I’ve heard time after time people saying how FireFox might take a backseat to Google Chrome. However, I actually think Chrome and FireFox will benefit from each other. I think FireFox has nothing but to gain from Google Chrome. Let me give you an example why:

My brother Bryce works at Best Buy. They’ve been selling Apple Macs for the last few months and Bryce hates selling them to customers. The reason is people come in, say they want a Mac because they’ve heard so much about them, don’t listening to any suggestions or tips, and just buy it. That would be great, except usually within 1-2 weeks they come back wanting to return their Mac. Why Bryce asks why, one of the classic responses is “Well, I couldn’t find Internet Explorer.” These customers have been so accustomed to doing things their way that they don’t understand how to use anything else.

This was driving me crazy for this last week. Since moving to my new house I’ve been without internet for a week. Comcast is supposed to come tomorrow to hook up my house, but until then I’ve been mooching of relatives’ WI-FI on my Mac Book Pro. This has forced me to use it for all of my work, including web development and graphics design. However, while tabbing through forms on websites, the tab would skip over drop down boxes. Why this is the default is beyond me. It is not user friendly at all. Fortunately I found through a website how to change it. Of course the OS X elite call this change simple and easy, but I’d think it’d be easy to just have it work in the first place.

Deepest Sender - Best FireFox Blog Extension... Worst Name Ever

Alright, I’m trying out Deepest Sender, an extension for FireFox that allows me to send blog posts to my WordPress blog. It’s pretty amazing, except for one thing….

What the heck is up with the name? How is Deepest Sender suppose to reflect it’s name? I tried browsing on the Add-ons website for FireFox, and I couldn’t find anything. I even started looking at the FireFox Extension Documentation on how I could make one, because I was beyond belief I couldn’t believe one didn’t already exist.
